Yamaha A4A Forum. Thought i would create this thread (couldn't find an owners) , as mine has been confirmed to arrive this week. I don't seem to be able to get the current apple tv 4k to run dolby vision through it.

Web sep 14, 2021. The onkyo is 7 hdmi but only 3 of them are hdmi 2.1 40gbps. I'm not clear on why that would be, it seems like the a4a should handle 4k60. Is that to be expected and i have to wait for this firmware update? I don't seem to be able to get the current apple tv 4k to run dolby vision through it. Is the apple tv trying to do hdr10+? From a cost perspective, from what i looked up, the ess9038pro is a 50 dollar chip, pruchased retail at a 100 chip. See the remote control keys used for this page. Hopefully there's a few of us getting ours this week if not i'll post pictures etc when it arrives. Web yamaha japan has the newest firmware now listed on the website and a few are starting to report receiving it in the us and uk but it's not listed on website yet.

The latest is 1.59 here is what it includes according the japanese website. Is that to be expected and i have to wait for this firmware update?
