Web just purchasing a new light doesn't fix the lot automatically as you have found out. Web to do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in origin and click repair. Web @choran929 if you haven't already, please 1) remove all mods/cc, 2) clear your cache, 3) repair the game via origin. The previously added outdoor lights there worked, but any new ones i tried to add would not emit light. Also try testing with a new save game file and see if the same thing happens. Click on the new lamp/light to get the lighting options to come up. Web you can usually fix this by placing a room or flat (s) above the open area to redraw the ceiling above the space. Use that new lamp/light to then turn all lights off. Best bet is if you go through the build and check for ceilings/roof etc. Is the same thing happening in other homes/households in your game?
