Touch pad not working, I2C HID DEVICE IS SHOWING YELLOW SIGN IN DEVICE
I2C Hid Device Not Working. I tried uninstalling from device manager and then restarting, making changes in upperfilter through registry editor as written in other hp community posts and had power reset attempts too but none have worked. Web a user suggested that accessing the bios, and then rebooting windows helped fixed things when the i2c hid device dell touchpad was not working.

In the details for the driver, it shows request for hid descriptor faild (code 10). May be this will be useful for someone. Select keep personal files and apps. If i uninstall the driver and refresh the pc, some times it works but most of the time it doesn't. Run windows updates to see if a touchpad driver gets.
