Eu4 Not Launching. It is probably easiest if you just try my suggestion from the previous comment, because this solves most of the current launching the game failed cases. Right click eu4_profiling and send to desktop to make a europa shortcut.

Web eu4 not running properly on windows 10. Web launching from eu4.exe bypasses the launcher, so you can't get the launching the game failed error. On your mac, choose apple menu > system preferences, click security & privacy, then click privacy. This should be steam>steamapps>commona>europauniversalisiv in the europa folder you should see eu4_profiling.exe. Web exit steam and start it as administrator (right click steam.exe > run as administrator) run the game.exe file directly from the installation directory (this will circumvent the launcher all together) exit steam and remove the paradox launcher from the add/remove programs menu (windows) and then start the game again. Try launching it through the actual eu4.exe file in your steamapps/common/europa universalis 4 folder. If you still get the error, you didn't actually launch eu4.exe. The launcher works fine, but the moment i click on play, all i get is nothing but a blank transparent window where the game is supposed to be. Web navigate to the europa universalis iv folder with eu4.exe/eu4 in it.

That works for me but hasn't worked for some others, seems kinda 50/50. I tried to look for any solutions to this issue & i was able to find some, like running eu4 as administrator, installing a few microsoft modules and a few others.
