If the native resolution is 480i or 720p, telling the directv receiver to only output 1080i or 1080p is not going to improve the picture quality. It’s irritating that sunday football day and i’m stuck watching 480p football on a 4k tv even i understand they only broadcast in 1080i. Web my resolution options are no longer reduced to only 480p. When i plug the gpu with an hdmi, everything works fine, the resolution is 2560 x 1440, i can open the nvidia control panel and the monitor's software ( osd sidekick).
