Ryzen 9 5950x CPU idle Temps Cooling Linus Tech Tips

5950X Idle Temp. I've been reading forums and everybody else seems to be high 40c to low 50's but mine seems super high. About 2 weeks ago all software in windows started reporting the cpu idling at ~90c.

I searched around some, and got mixed results. Say, your room temp is 24°c. Amd software, hwmonitor, and msi software are all reporting 90c idle temp. Web was asking to see if anybody knows why my idle temps for my cpu are nearing 67c just sitting on the desktop right after boot. In any case, my ambient room temps are usually around 25c. The idle temp in bios is at ~34c. Gaming is usually around 75c or so. That's the difference between air and water cooling behaviour.
